You Must Understand The Technology Before You Use It

How often have you attended a web conference where the presenter is fumbling through the interface, wondering what buttons to press for certain functions, and complaining about the technology throughout their entire presentation?

Conversely, how often have you attended a web conference where the presenter is smooth as butter, in perfect harmony with his materials, the navigation of the software, and providing an outstanding experience for your presentation?

You can have these two polarizing effects, even if they are using the same software.  It really is a matter of "Practice makes Perfect".  You wouldn't go in front of a live audience with a speech that you had rehearsed for 5 minutes, yet people do that every day with web conferencing technology.

This article explains how significant the difference can be between someone who is comfortable utilizing the web conferencing software, and someone who isn't.  The gap can be very large, and the experience that your participants have can be affected greatly.

If you haven't practiced enough to deliver a great user experience on your web conferencing platform, then you're doing yourself and your participants a disservice.
